Our project is one of the most important joint cultural events presenting V4 countries in Slovakia. It takes place every year in the ecumenical environment of the synagogue in Liptovský Mikuláš. The concert presents the basic dimensions of contemporary music in the V4 countries. It is dedicated to connecting the musical styles typical of these countries through the connection of prominent personalities. In terms of genres, our concert ranges from contemporary clasical music (e.g. Stabat Mater written by Vladimír Godár for the Czech violinist and singer Iva Bittová and the Solamente Naturali Orchestra, premiered at Mosty-Gesharim concert), through jazz, rock, folk and chanson but also prominent personalities of popular music such as Miroslav Žbirka, Ewa Farna and Lenka Dusilová. This activity has contributed to an overall positive image of the V4 group in the region and it also inspired several follow-up projects among the V4 artists. Regular broadcast of the concert record on the Slovak national TV has secured intensive dissemination of our project´s mission and helped us audience of an overall positive feedback. This year, our concert will introduce Peter Lipa (SR), Stanislaw Sojka (PL), Markéta Foukalová (CZ), János Öcsi Vasicek (H) and the Story group with Milan Kňažko. The event will be recorded in cooperation with the Slovak National Television (RTVS). The audio record of the event will be uploaded onto the IVF website, the project website as well as the audio/video streaming websites ( youtube.com ). The audio record will be uploaded to streaming platforms to access wider public. |
